My Grandpa gave me this tool a few years ago and it needed a good restoration. It was all rusty and one of the handles was broken.
I made new handles with some vine wood and resin and removed all the rust.
After that, I had to sharpen it and finally give a shiny look with a lot of sanding and polishing.
